As of November 11, 2024, Vietnam has revamped its e-visa system. The process is now exclusively managed through a new official websites: https://evisa.gov.vn/

This change improves the security and reliability of the application process, ensuring a smoother experience for travelers like you.

What is an E-Visa?

An e-visa is a single or multiple-entry visa that lets you stay in Vietnam for up to 90 days. This convenient online option eliminates the need for embassy visits or arrival procedures. Whether you're here for cultural adventures or to explore Vietnam’s natural beauty, the e-visa is your ticket to seamless entry.

How to Apply for Your Vietnam E-Visa

Follow these steps to complete your application:

Step 1: Before applying, make sure you have:

  • A passport valid for at least 6 months from your arrival date.
  • At least 2 blank pages in your passport.
  • A passport-sized photo with a white background.
  • Clear scans of your passport's bio page and your passport photo.
  • A valid credit or debit card for payment.

Step 2: Go to evisa.gov.vn. If the page appears in Vietnamese, click the Language with UK flag to switch to English.

Step 3: Complete the online form

  • Enter your personal details exactly as they appear on your passport.
  • Upload your passport bio page and passport-sized photo.
  • Double-check all the information to ensure accuracy.

Step 4: Pay the visa fee online using your credit or debit card:

  • Single-entry visa: USD 25
  • Multiple-entry visa: USD 50

Step 5: Once submitted, you’ll receive a confirmation email with your application reference number. Processing typically takes 1 to 3 working days.

Step 6: When approved, download your e-visa from the provided link. Print a copy to present with your passport upon arrival in Vietnam.

*Important Tips:

  • During major Vietnamese holidays like Tet, visa processing may take longer. It’s best to apply at least a week or two in advance to avoid delay.
  • The 90-day validity period starts from the date you declare in the form, not from your actual date of entry.
