No more tests, no more quarantines! Vietnam is fully open to welcome travelers from all over the world! The country not only removed all COVID-19 requirements but also updated their visa policy to enable stress-free planning without pre-travel procedures as well as flexibility for extended stays.

Pre-departure COVID-19 testing requirements for all travelers are dismissed. Tourists no longer need to acquire a negative COVID-19 test result or present proof of vaccination when visiting Vietnam. The Vietnamese government also resumed its visa exemption policy for citizens from 25 selected nations. Furthermore, the country has recently introduced an update on this policy effective August 15, 2023. The visa waiver program will allow these countries' nationals to enter Vietnam for up to 45 days without acquiring a visa. Find the full list of 25 countries exempted from visa requirement here.

Vietnam also officially announced that Vietnam's e-visa is available to citizens of ALL countries, valid for 90 consecutive days, applicable for both single-entry and multiple-entry. This update enables global travelers to enter the country at any 42 international checkpoints, including international airports, seaports, and land crossings. Foreigners living outside of Vietnam can apply for an e-visa here. The cost for a single-entry application is $25; while a multiple-entry application costs $50. This change provides international visitors with great flexibility and additional time to explore this amazing Southeast Asian country.
