MakeYourAsia at ITE HCMC 2026: Highlights from Three Days

Held from 27–29 August 2026, this year’s event was a special one as ITE HCMC celebrated its 20th anniversary. For the second time, we had the pleasure of joining the event with our own booth, bringing together our ideas, travel experiences and, of course, our passionate international team.
After weeks of preparation, brainstorming and getting everything ready, it was finally time to open the doors. And what followed were three busy days filled with meetings, conversations, new connections and plenty of memorable moments.

Three days at Booth 256
Our booth was designed as a place to stop, have a casual conversation and, most importantly, talk about travel across Southeast Asia.
Visitors browsed our catalogues and postcards featuring different destinations across the region, enjoyed authentic coconut candies from the Mekong Delta, grabbed a coffee, and marked their dream destinations on our travel map.
But while the decorations and little details helped create the atmosphere, the real highlight was the people. Over the three days, we met tourism professionals, partners and travellers from different markets, exchanged ideas and talked about what makes travel in Southeast Asia so special.
Our team was there throughout the event to answer questions, share experiences and introduce visitors to the tailor-made journeys we create across the region.

Meeting Pham from Sapa
One of the special moments at our booth was having Pham, our local guide from Sapa, join us.
Pham came to the event wearing a beautiful traditional Red Dao outfit and spent time sharing stories about her home region – from its landscapes and local culture to the different ways travellers can experience the mountains of northern Vietnam.
She also brought a little piece of Sapa with her: handmade bracelets, which she gave to visitors as souvenirs.
Having Pham at the booth was a great reminder of what we value most about travel: the opportunity to meet local people, hear their stories and experience destinations through a more personal perspective.

Discussing the future of tourism
ITE HCMC was not only about meetings and networking. The event also brought together tourism professionals to discuss some of the key changes shaping the industry.
One of the highlights for us was the “Sustainable Tourism and Inbound Markets” conference, where our CEO, Łukasz Kozłowski, joined a panel discussion alongside other industry experts.
The discussion explored how tourism is changing, including evolving traveller expectations, the growing demand for tailor-made experiences and the importance of more responsible approaches to tourism.
A key topic was the impact visitors have on the destinations they travel to – from local economies and communities to the environment. It was an important reminder that the success of tourism should not be measured only by how many people visit a destination, but also by how responsibly they travel and the value their visits create.
These conversations are particularly relevant to us at MakeYourAsia, as we continue to develop travel experiences that connect visitors with local communities, cultures and experiences across Southeast Asia.
Looking back at ITE HCMC 2026
And just like that, three days were over.
We left ITE HCMC 2026 with new connections, new ideas, plenty of inspiration and a camera roll full of memories. Events like this are a valuable opportunity not only to meet new partners and industry professionals, but also to step back and look at where tourism is heading – and where we want to go next.
A big thank you to everyone who visited Booth 256, shared a story, asked a question, or simply came by to say hello.
We are already looking forward to the next one!
