Over the past month, MakeYourAsia had the pleasure of welcoming four interns from the UK — Melissa, Daniel, Husna, and Sophia — as part of a partnership with Pagoda Projects. Hailing from various universities, the students joined our team for a one-month internship centered on the theme “Sustainability in the Tourism Industry.”

A Month of Learning and Exchange

During their internship, the students worked closely with our marketing and sales departments and under the direct instruction of Lukasz Kozlowski - MakeYourAsia's CEO. Working alongside different departments allowed them to observe the workflow, communication and collaboration involved in a fast-paced tourism company.

The students also took part in a Saigon city tour, guided by one of our tour leaders, Ngan Phan. This experience gave them the opportunity to explore a vibrant part of Vietnam, allowing them to witness the local culture, daily life, and the values that shape Vietnamese hospitality. Beyond sightseeing, the tour offered valuable insights into how MakeYourAsia creates and delivers meaningful travel experiences. By seeing how we incorporate sustainability and authenticity into our tours, the interns were able to connect their academic knowledge with real-world practices — helping them adapt to a professional environment and providing a strong foundation for developing their project assignment.

On 18th July 2025, the internship concluded with a final group presentation, where our interns showcased their learning, research, and recommendations to other teams from Pagoda Projects. The presentation marked the result of their efforts over the past month, highlighting their understanding of sustainable tourism, insightful suggestions for our tours and the practical knowledge they gained while working with the team. We are impressed by the insights, ideas, and fresh perspectives they brought to this project, and incredibly proud to have guided such talented students throughout their internship journey.

In addition to our main group of interns, another team from Pagoda Projects, reached out to request an interview with Lukasz Kozlowski. Although they were not interning with MakeYourAsia, we were happy to support their research by sharing insights into our approach to sustainable tourism.

Looking Ahead: A Promising Partnership

As this was our first time partnering with Pagoda Projects, we are especially grateful for the opportunity to host and work with such motivated young individuals. It has been truly rewarding to see them grow, contribute and bring fresh energy into our team. We sincerely thank Mr. Paul Yeandle and Ms. Thu Le for placing their trust and support in MakeYourAsia for making this partnership possible. We genuinely look forward to future collaborations with Pagoda Projects and to welcoming more interns in the years ahead.
