ITINERARY

Day 1

GOOD MORNING SAIGON

We recommend getting a morning flight to reach Saigon at around 10AM to have a full day exploring the city. We will pick you up from the airport and stop by the hotel to drop off the luggage.

Let’s start off with a comprehensive walking tour into the heart of the city. Prepare to be amazed as you will go straight into a labyrinth of alleyways where a hidden market lies. We will begin the adventure at an aromatic bun thit nuong stall. This fan-favorite Vietnamese dish features grilled pork served with rice noodles and fresh herbs.

After filling up your stomach, we will dive deep inside the local market in these small alleys, find out what the vendors sell, learn about their beliefs, and see how they go about their day. We will also stop by a local temple, where both Buddhist, Animist, and Taoist deities are worshipped.

A JOURNEY THROUGH HISTORY

Let’s continue our adventure with a trip to the Secret Bunker to learn about the guerilla warfare and how they hid themselves and their weapons in underground shelters in Saigon. Gain a deeper understanding about Vietnam’s remarkable history through thousands of artifacts in the War Remnants Museum. We will also stop by the Thich Quang Duc Monument and hear about the story of his self-immolation during the Vietnam – U.S. war.

Once we conclude our museum visit, our tour takes us to the old colonial part of the city. Fall in love with the timeless architecture of the Palace of Independence, Notre Dame Cathedral, and the Central Post Office. From here, we will return to the hotel for a short rest.

SAIGON MOTORBIKE NIGHT RIDE

In the evening, hop on our motorbikes and blend into the chaotic traffic flow of Saigon. Let us take you on a nighttime adventure, try some street food, and find out where Saigon’s panoramic skyline is most beautiful. For more details on this motorbike program, you can visit this page.

Day 2

A CHANGE OF SCENERY

Leave the busy city and see a different side of Vietnam with a trip to the vigorous Mekong Delta. Get on a Mekong River cruise in Ben Tre to admire the tranquil riverscape, visit a fascinating floating fish farm in My Tho, then sail through the endless canals of palm forest.

While in the area, peek into the local country life with a visit to the coconut candy factory, stroll through the village’s fruit orchards, and taste the exotic fruit collection. This is your chance to sample jackfruit, rambutan, logan, and others!

A PEEK INTO LOCAL LIFE

For today’s lunch, we will enjoy some local specialties such as the elephant ear fish and freshwater shrimps. If you are brave enough, take a bite of the legendary durian!

Then, hop on a sampan and ride this oar-powered boat through the tiny canals, while embracing the peaceful countryside and reconnecting with nature.

After the excursion, we will commute back to Saigon and get some rest at the hotel. Around 06:30PM, we will walk to our favorite BBQ restaurant to have dinner. Enjoy the night in Saigon.

Day 3

A HANDS-ON CULINARY EXPERIENCE

Today we will get a glimpse of the daily life of local farmers. At 07:30AM, we venture to the serene suburbs of Cu Chi, where we will learn about rice, herbs, and mushroom cultivation. Blend in with the locals as you put on the traditional conical hat, roll up your sleeves, and harvest green produces from the farm.

And now, let’s get cooking! The professional chef will show us how to prepare three traditional Vietnamese dishes along with one dessert. This is a great opportunity to understand Vietnamese culinary philosophy and their art of preparing healthy meals. The most awaited moment of the day must be the tasting part, right? Enjoy your DIY meal!

TURN BACK IN TIME IN CU CHI TUNNELS

After lunch, we will make our way to Cu Chi Tunnels – the Viet Cong’s underground complex used during wartime. Discover how the guerrillas lived, fought, and outsmarted the enemies with the fascinating tunnels and trap systems. Trust us when we say you will be amazed at this historical site as every corner has its own story.

We unfortunately must wrap up our adventure here to commute back to Tan Son Nhat Airport and get ready for your flight back to Phu Quoc.
