Have you just arrived in Luang Prabang and want to discover not only the town’s most important landmarks, but also the natural landscapes surrounding it? Join us for a three-day journey through Luang Prabang with a Polish-speaking guide.

Located in northern Laos, Luang Prabang is made up of 58 interconnected villages, with 33 of them forming a UNESCO World Heritage area. Shaped by centuries of social, religious, and political changes, the town offers a fascinating insight into the history, culture, and traditions of Laos.

During this journey, you will explore the heritage of Luang Prabang, discover the craftsmanship behind local products, and experience the cultural diversity of the surrounding communities. Over three days, you will have time to slow down, connect with the atmosphere of this remarkable region, and see a side of Laos that remains closely connected to its traditions and everyday life.

      Laos 3-days Tour Itinerary

      Day 1: WELCOME TO LUANG PRABANG

      Upon arrival in Luang Prabang, you will be transferred from the airport to your comfortable hotel, set within a peaceful garden environment.

      As flights to the city often arrive in the afternoon, the rest of the day is yours to relax after your journey or take your first walk through the charming streets of the Old Town.

      Day 2: HISTORY, TEMPLES AND THE MEKONG RIVER

      Your exploration of Luang Prabang begins with a visit to the Royal Palace Museum, home to a collection of exhibits that tell the story of Laos and its former kingdom. From there, you will board a boat and cruise upstream along the Mekong River, passing peaceful rural landscapes and riverside villages.

      Your journey continues to the Pak Ou Caves, a sacred site where Buddhist devotees have placed thousands of Buddha statues over the centuries. Along the way, you will stop at Ban Xanghai village, where local families continue the tradition of producing Lao rice spirit.

      In the afternoon, you will return to Luang Prabang and visit Wat Xieng Thong, one of the country’s most revered temples, known for its intricate decorations and distinctive Lao architecture. You will then discover a historic 19th-century house, now serving as a museum and cultural center dedicated to preserving local traditions, where you can enjoy a cup of Lao tea.

      The day concludes at Wat Phra Bat Tai, where you can watch the sunset, followed by a walk through the famous Night Market, where local artisans display their handmade crafts. Afterward, you will return to your hotel.

      Exploring Luang Prabang

      DAY 3: LOCAL LIFE AND NATURAL BEAUTY

      The day begins with a quiet morning ritual – witnessing the traditional offering ceremony for monks dressed in their distinctive saffron robes. Following their vows of simplicity, monks rely on daily offerings from local communities, making this ceremony an important part of everyday life in Laos.

      Afterwards, you will visit the morning market near the Royal Palace, where you can observe local residents choosing fresh ingredients and everyday products for their families. You will then climb the 329 steps to the top of Mount Phousi, where panoramic views over Luang Prabang and the Mekong River await.

      The afternoon brings a change of scenery as you head into nature at Kuang Si Waterfall. You will have the opportunity to relax by the natural pools, take a refreshing swim, and visit the nearby bear rescue center along the way.

      On the way back to Luang Prabang, you will stop at the Ock Pop Tok Living Craft Centre, where you will learn more about traditional Lao crafts, local products, and the stories of the women who keep these skills alive.

      The day ends with your return to the hotel in Luang Prabang.
