Bohol
ITINERARY
The beauty of Bohol does not only lies in the island itself but also on the nearby islets of the archipelago. One of the most noteworthy of them all is the tiny island of Panglao, connected to Bohol a bridge. You can reach Panglao island by air from Manila or by ferry from the island of Cebu. The convenient location makes Bohol a perfect addition to our eight-day Luzon itinerary as it offers restful accommodations at one of the resorts we’ve checked out.
When in Bohol, you must take advantage of the diverse and unique geological sites on the island itself. You probably know any Bohol experience will not be complete without a visit to the Chocolate Hills. More than 1000 conical grass-covered hills cover up to 50 km² of the surrounding area and turn colors depending on the season. Moving on to the riverscape, we’ll take you to Loboc River, where you can admire the lush tropical scenery of the Philippines while enjoying lunch on the soothing cruise. For a wildlife encounter, the world’s precious smallest monkeys – the Tarsiers – are waiting for you at the Philippines Tarsier Sanctuary. We promise that you’ll get to see a lot of surprises during this whole day trip with us!
If you're up for a thrilling adventure, why not get sporty and stay active with a trip to the Loboc Ecotourism Adventure Park? Take up a challenge and go for either a zipline or a cable car ride (or maybe both) to see the gorgeous Loboc river and the surrounding hills from above.
During the stay on the islands, we also want to take you to the beach by boat to search for dolphins. We will set off first thing at dawn to look for wild dolphins in the Visayas offshore area. With the success rate of 99%, this dolphin watching experience will be a highlight of your trip!
And that’s not all. We'll go on a Balicasag Island hopping tour to small, uninhabited islands to snorkel among the Filippino diverse and colorful coral reefs. To regain energy from all the fun activities, you’ll enjoy a picnic on an island and then return to the resort in the afternoon.
