Half Day Saigon City Tour Itinerary
STAGE 1: GOOD MORNING! WELCOME TO SAIGON!
Our adventure begins as soon as our private tour guide picks you up at your hotel in District 1 or from Tan Son Nhat International Airport. Today, we will dive into the vibrant heart of the city with a unique walking tour that goes beyond the usual attractions. First stop, let’s uncover the secrets of the past at a Secret Underground Bunker. Learn about the guerilla warfare tactics and the hidden shelters right in the middle of Saigon City Center!

STAGE 2: DEEP INTO THE MARKET
Next, we will navigate a maze of alleyways to uncover a hidden local market in Saigon, where you can mingle with the locals and savor the aromatic ‘bun thit nuong’ – an incredibly popular dish of savory grilled pork, fresh herbs, and rice noodles.
As we wander deeper into the market, get a glimpse of daily life and diverse offerings of the local vendors.
But the surprises don't end there. Our journey then leads us to a hidden temple, where Buddhist, Animist, and Taoist deities are worshipped. Here, you’ll gain insights into the harmonious blend of beliefs that enrich the spiritual landscape of Southern Vietnam.

STAGE 3: HISTORICAL ENCOUNTERS
The War Remnants Museum is our next stop. This deeply meaningful place holds outdoor exhibitions and a three-story exhibition building, clocking in at 4,522 square meters (about half the area of a Manhattan city block). Inside, 20,000 photos and artifacts documented the First and Second Indochina Wars, telling powerful stories and a poignant look into the country’s resilient past. On the way to the museum, we will also stop by the Thich Quang Duc Monument and hear about his self-immolation story.
To clear the atmosphere, let's dive into the rich history of Saigon with a leisurely stroll through its colonial heart. Admire the iconic architecture of the majestic Independence Palace, the Central Post Office, and the Notre Dame Cathedral. These grandiose monuments are over a hundred-year-old and mark Saigon's storied past and cultural legacy.
