Ha Long Bay, a maze of jewel-like islands, otherwise known as The bay of Descending Dragon, is among Vietnam's most magnificent natural landmarks. About 1,900 islands and islets scattered over more than 1,500 square kilometers appear on the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage List.
Because of the distance from Hanoi, we do not recommend one day trip to Ha Long due to the time you would spend in the car - around 9hrs, and only about 3-4 hrs on the spot. We encourage you to devote more time to this beautiful destination.
We start our trip to Ha Long between 7:30 - 9:00 AM, depending on the transfer option. We will pick you up from your hotel in Hanoi. On the way, you will see the beautiful landscapes of the Red River Delta - its rice fields and busy rural areas. The view of Ha Long Bay is worth every kilometer driven. After reaching Tuan Chau Marina, you will get on a tender boat that will take you to your chosen cruiser.
After checking in, as you enjoy a luscious lunch, the boat will set off for a cruise around the World Heritage Site. Gaze upon the first views of the Bay while savoring the taste of the freshest local seafood. During the two-day cruise, you will join many activities, like kayaking or swimming in the Bay. Depending on your chosen cruise program, you might visit some astonishing natural caves, paddle your kayak around the Bay, or join a short excursion to Cat Ba National Park. Chill out on the sundeck with a drink in your hand and watch the sunset over the Bay. Some additional attractions include nighttime squid fishing and a short cooking demonstration. Our boat will head to a quiet and picturesque cove and drop the anchor for the night.
In the morning, you can join a tai chi session on the sundeck of your cruiser, or simply welcome the rising sun with a cup of hot coffee in your hand. After breakfast, you will join one more activity, depending on the program of the chosen cruise. Upon returning on board the cruise, you will check out from your cabins. Lunch will be served as the cruise returns to Tuan Chau Marina. Around noon, after disembarkation, our driver will pick you up and take you back to Hanoi (within the Old Quarters).
