1 Day Hanoi Tour Itinerary
MORNING: A STEP BACK IN TIME WITH HANOI’S HERITAGE SITES
Our Hanoi private tour guide will pick you up from your hotel around 8:30 in the morning to start the tour. Next, you will hop on a rickshaw and set off for an hour-long ride through the narrow but picturesque streets of the capital. We will say goodbye to the drivers at the "Hanoi Hilton" - Hoa Lo prison, where we will find out who was held here and what the life of the downed American pilots looked like.
Next, let’s explore the Temple of Literature and dive into the depths of Vietnamese history and education. Discover the intricate relationship between spirituality and academia in the 11th century, decipher the secrets of this site’s unique identity as a Temple, not a School, and witness how these dual facets seamlessly intertwined to create an unparalleled learning experience.
MIDDAY: A TASTY HANOIAN LUNCH
We can predict you will start to get hungry at around this time. It's a sign that lunchtime is approaching! So we head for our favorite dish: bun cha Hanoi! In the coziness of a local eatery, you will be treated to not only a taste of Hanoi’s delicacy—bun cha, a savory blend of rice noodles, herbs, and grilled pork—but also the warm and hospitable atmosphere that is quintessentially Vietnamese.
AFTERNOON: HANOI’S SIGHTS AND SCENES
After the meal, we will go to the most famous place in the center of Hanoi - the Hoan Kiem Lake. Here we will visit the Ngoc Son Temple along with the famous Red Bridge, while listening to the legend of the golden turtle. Then, hidden in a quaint alley, we'll try Hanoi's signature egg coffee - a creamy delight that's a must-try!
EVENING: HANOI NIGHT LIFE
We will then return to the hotel for a short break before the evening part of our tour. As the sun sets over Hanoi’s cityscape, bask in the illuminated skyline at a rooftop bar, where the horizon becomes the perfect backdrop for a classic cocktail. As twilight deepens, we move to a bustling street-side restaurant to enjoy local dishes served with low-alcohol draft beer in the company of Hanoians.
If you’d like to call it a day, the rest of the evening is yours! However, we can also take you to the President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Square. This is where the Flag Lowering Ceremony unfolds with military precision and solemn respect - a symbolic event showcasing Vietnam's steadfast national pride and deep-rooted traditions. You will return to the hotel at around 9:30 P.M.
Your 1 day Hanoi city tour ends around 9:30 PM as we return you to your hotel, leaving you with a heart full of memories and a camera full of stunning shots.
