Our adventure begins with a visit to the ancient town of Dong Van, where you’ll be mesmerized by the stunning rock formations and fall in love with the unique culture of the ethnic villages. But that’s just the start of our journey!
Next, we’ll make our way to the House of Pao – known from a famous Vietnamese film. In addition, we’ll learn about centuries of fascinating history at the Palace of King H’mong. And our adventure doesn’t end here! Let our Ha Giang road trip take you to hidden wonders as we travel to the northernmost point of Vietnam – the Lung Cu flagpole. The ride to the flag tower alone is remarkable with the amazing views of majestic mountains and local minority villages. And once you reach the top, the majestic panorama of the Vietnamese-Chinese border as well as the masterpiece of the Dong Van karst plateau will leave you speechless.
After the excursion, we’ll indulge in the exceptional flavors of Vietnam’s Northern mountain cuisine at a local eatery. Finally, we’ll relax over dinner and rest up in Dong Van.

On the journey, we’ll also drive through the Ma Pi Leng Pass, one of the Four Great Passes of Vietnam, where you'll witness the most spectacular mountain view of the region. This part of the Ha Giang Loop itinerary is a photographer's dream!
Prepare to be amazed as we’re exploring Ha Giang off-the-beaten path with a visit to Meo Vac County – a hidden treasure near the Chinese border.
