2 Days Saigon and Mekong Delta Tour

Depending on your flight, our guide will pick you up at the Saigon domestic airport arrivals hall and take you to the hotel to drop off your luggage at the reception desk.

We will start our exploration with a visit to the Secret Bunker, where you will learn about the Great Tet Offensive and guerrilla warfare organized by the Viet Cong leaders. Next, we will head to a bustling local market, where you can sample the aromatic bun thit nuong—grilled meat served on rice noodles with fresh herbs.

Following this, you will explore the traditional wet market further, discovering what other goods the vendors sell, learning about their beliefs, and observing their daily routines. Afterward, we will visit a local temple where Buddhist, animist, and Taoist deities are worshipped.

Our next stop will be the Thich Quang Duc monument, where you will hear the poignant story of his self-immolation during the Vietnam War. Let's continue this historical journey with a visit to the War Remnants Museum to have a more comprehensive look into the war from various perspectives. 

We will then proceed to the old colonial part of the city, where landmarks such as the Palace of Independence, Notre Dame Cathedral Basilica of Saigon, and the Saigon Central Post Office stand as legacies of a bygone era.

Finally, we will return to the hotel for a well-deserved rest, reflecting on the day’s discoveries and the vibrant tapestry of Saigon's history and culture

We'll set off early from Saigon at around 8:00 a.m. to ensure we don't miss out on any local activities during our Mekong Delta tour.

Once we reach the dock, get ready for a short Mekong Delta boat tour through the spectacular river of Ben Tre. Our seasoned guides will share fascinating facts about the region, like what coconut water is, the local residents' way of life, and whether crocodiles make a splash in these waters. Following the boat ride, we will take a stroll through the orchards, where you'll witness the growth of tropical fruits. Plus, we'll hop on a tuk-tuk to visit a candy factory and observe a craftsman in action creating products from coconut wood.

Later on, you will find yourself mesmerized by the picturesque sights during the cruise through the Mekong Delta canals. After the Mekong Delta river tour, we will walk through the tranquil village and enjoy a delicious lunch right by the riverside.

Our journey ends here and we will transfer you to Saigon Airport for your flight back to Phu Quoc island.
