Itinerary
Depending on your flight, our guide will pick you up at Saigon domestic airport arrivals hall (suggested flight: VN1820 PQC-SGN 08:40 – 10:00) and take you to the hotel to drop off the luggage at the reception desk.
From here we will go straight to a labyrinth of alleyways in which a local market is located. We will start the exploration at a food vendor stall, selling the aromatic bun thit nuong - or grilled meat served on rice noodles with fresh herbs.
You will also discover what other goods the vendors sell, learn about their beliefs, and see how they go about their day. After that, we will stop by a local temple, in which both Buddhist, animist, and Taoist deities are worshipped.
Continue the tour by walking to the Secret Bunker to learn about the Great Tet Offensive and guerilla warfare organized by the leaders of the infamous Viet Cong in general. On the way to the War Remnants Museum, you will also stop by the Thich Quang Duc monument and learn the story of his self-immolation during the Vietnam - US war.
After visiting the museum, our tour takes us to the old colonial part of the city, where you will see the Palace of Independence, Notre Dame Cathedral Basilica of Saigon, and the Saigon Central Post Office. Return to hotel for a short rest.
Hop on a scooter with us to try some tasty local dishes and intriguing drinks! We'll also share more about the locals' daily lives during the ride—feel free to ask our drivers anything; they're happy to spill the beans and share loads of interesting facts. Plus, we'll make a pit stop at a special spot where you can take all in the breathtaking panorama view of Saigon's center.
Once the tour wraps up, we'll transfer you back to your hotel. If you are interested, you are always welcome to join us for a refreshing Saigon or Huda beer after the tour!
We'll set off from Saigon at around 8:00 a.m.
Once we reach the dock, get ready for a short boat excursion through the spectacular river of Ben Tre. Our seasoned guides will share fascinating facts about the region, like what coconut water is, the local residents' way of life, and whether crocodiles make a splash in these waters. After the boat ride, we will take a stroll through the orchards, where you'll witness the growth of tropical fruits. Plus, we'll hop on a tuk-tuk to visit a candy factory and observe a craftsman in action creating products from coconut wood.
Later on, you will find yourself mesmerized by the picturesque sights during the cruise through the Mekong Delta canals. After the boat cruise, we will walk through the tranquil village and enjoy a delicious lunch right by the riverside.
Our journey ends here and we will transfer you to Saigon Airport for your flight back to Phu Quoc island.
